Valentina Bersiga was born in Parma in 1978 and graduated with honors in Cinema from DAMS in Bologna in 2003. For twenty years, she worked as a videomaker, scholar, and enthusiast of audiovisual and multimedia media, exploring their visual, musical, and artistic applications. In 1999, she founded a Bolognese film association with which she produced dozens of short films selected in important national festivals, winning several awards and recognitions. During the period from 2000 to 2010, she created over thirty music videos, favoring independent bands and experimenting with new languages. Her audiovisual research developed through university master’s programs, seminars, and workshops, collaborating with teachers and professionals to embrace different genres, styles, and roles in the search for innovative languages. She worked with analog, film, and digital media. Valentina accumulated experience in television, cinema, video installations, and video performances, covering roles from directing to screenwriting, from production to editing. She was aware and actively participated in the digital revolution that transformed society, communication, and multimedia art. She collaborated with directors such as Dario Fo, Franca Rame, Paolo Virzì, and many musical artists. In recent years, she has focused on video projects for social media and has become a trainer for students and adults in the field of audiovisual and multimedia. Her passion for visual art and her ongoing exploration of new expression have integrated the use and experimentation of artificial intelligence tools.
